Simple Artisan Bread

Wow friends and family with this beautiful, organic artisan loaf. In just a few simple steps, you'll have bakery-quality bread. Imprinted with the beautiful pattern of the brotform bread basket, it's almost too pretty to eat. 


6 C Organic Grains Bead Flour

2 1/2 C Water, lukewarm

1 tsp sea salt

2 tsp active dry yeast


Brotform rattan proofing basket


Yield: 2 loaves || Time: 5 hours 30 minutes

  1. Mix the ingredients in a large bowl until there are no dry patches
  2. Cover and let rise at room temperature about 2 hours, or until doubled in size
  3. Then, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 5 days (longer storage enhances the flavor) 
  4. When you're ready, shape dough as desired, forming 2 loaves
  5. Place rounded side down into a well-floured 8-inch Brotform rattan proofing basket
  6. Allow rising uncovered for about 1 hour until doubled
